MATTHEW GAUGHAN
Director of Culinary
At the age of four, he discovered his love for the kitchen. Despite being a hyperactive child, he preferred spending time with his mom and grandmother making desserts, participating in holiday meal preparations, and creating treats like gingerbread cookies and rhubarb bread pudding.
After graduating from the Minneapolis Technical College with top honors, he became skilled in cake art assembly, pull sugar artwork, and ice carving. One of his most memorable experiences in the kitchen was working at a catered event for Starky corporation, where he met a host of famous music artists including Ellen DeGeneres, Lou Ferrigno, Carrie Underwood, Alice Cooper, Elton John, and Michael Bolton.
When he's not working in the kitchen, he enjoys sports, fishing, and camping in the great outdoors, which provides him with a sense of tranquility. For over forty years, the kitchen has been his second home, and he doesn't envision a life without it.
